Trading Stalls for Saddles: Broker Leather's Next Ride

Herd, it's with a grateful heart and a hopeful spirit that I share some big news with you today. 

After 7.5 incredible years in a storefront, I’ve made the decision to close my brick-and-mortar doors and focus entirely on my ONLINE business. Broker Leather is NOT closing — we’re just changing trails.  Our last day open in-store will be Friday, April 18th. 

This decision didn’t come easy, but it's one I’ve made with confidence and peace. For those of you who know me well, you know that my heart is tied to my family and my home. I've realized that restructuring Broker Leather to focus solely online will get me out of the barn stall and allow me to be more available and more intentional with my time.

But please know this — Broker Leather is NOT going anywhere. My goal since the very beginning in 2017 has been to grow our online business, and that goal remains stronger than ever. You can expect new handpicked styles every week, along with the same dedication to individuality that has always set us apart.  I'm still here, proudly riding for the brand.

Thanks to this little store, I've made lifelong friends — both in customers and employees — and I will cherish those relationships forever. Your support over the past 7.5 years means the world to me, and I hope you'll continue to follow us online as we ride into this next trail together.

This isn’t goodbye — it’s a bold step toward embracing the next season of my life. I've truly begun to believe that my entire life is in His plan, and this is just one more step in trusting that.

I encourage you not to wait until April 18th to visit us in-store one last time. I'd love to see your face and thank you in person before I lock THESE doors for good.

Please know that this is far from a failure — this is a moment of relief and excitement for me. I know this is the right decision for myself, my family, and the future of the brand I've built with my heart, grit, and a whole lot of dusty boots.

To make this transition easier for YOU, I’ve already reduced my FREE shipping threshold from $200 to $99, making it even easier to get your favorite goods delivered straight to your door more affordably. For those of you nearby, I’ll also be offering a weekly meetup for order delivery in Waukon to provide you with added convenience.

I've also introduced a new return policy designed to better serve you, now offering refunds in addition to store credit for added flexibility.

Over the years, I’ve learned that Broker Leather thrives best in the online space, and this transition allows me to focus on what I love most—curating unique, high-quality pieces for my herd while also creating a better balance for my family. My children deserve more of my time, and this change allows me to be more present for them while continuing to grow my business.

We’ll be locking up the shop doors for good on Friday, April 18th , so if you want to take a last lap through, now’s the time! After that, we’ll be fully online—same great products, same mission, just a new way of doing business.

Absolutely! Gift cards never expire and can always be used online at brokerleather.com. Whether you’re shopping for boots, bags, bolos, or something special, your gift card is still good as gold!

Rewards points never expire and can be redeemed online anytime. Even though our storefront is closing, you can continue to use your points to shop on our website just like before.

Absolutely! Nothing changes except how you shop! Head to brokerleather.com anytime, and I’ll ship your favorites straight to you or meet up with you for "delivery" in Waukon, Monona, & surrounding areas.

Absolutely! I'll be offering a weekly pickup in Waukon. Every Tuesday from 5-7 PM, you can find me at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds for order pickups. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer!

In the meantime, I'm excited to share that I've lowered the FREE shipping threshold on the website from $200 to $99, making it even easier to get your favorites delivered right to your door.

Shipping:

  • US Standard Shipping: $8.50 flat rate for orders under $99. Orders over $99 ship FREE.
  • Local Delivery: Please stay tuned for additional information about free local delivery and a weekly pickup in Waukon.
  • Order Processing: Orders are processed and shipped as quickly as possible, typically within 48 hours.

Please note: Broker Leather cannot be held responsible for lost or missing packages. If your package is lost in transit, the buyer must file a claim with USPS. Refunds will not be issued for lost packages.

We want you to love your purchase! If something isn’t quite right, here’s how we can help:

  • Eligible Returns: Returns on unworn, full-price items in their original condition are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date. Items must have tags attached, show no signs of wear, and be free from pet hair, pet odors, cigarette smoke, stains, etc.
  • Refunds: Eligible returns will be refunded to the original payment method.
  • Final Sale Items: The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
  • Gift cards
  • Sale Barn items
  • Any item sold at a discount
  • Wild rags, sunglasses, and jewelry
  • Shipping Charges: Customers are responsible for all shipping costs, including original and return shipping.

Important: To complete your return, please include the return form located on the backside of your packing slip. Returns submitted without this form will not be eligible for a refund.

  • If your return is valued at over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
  • Refund requests will be processed within 2-4 business days of receiving your return.
