All the applause for all the teachers!
I've had the privilege to tag along on two field trips this year. I guess this is one of the many perks for being a small business owner and having the ability to set my own schedule.
The first field trip I accompanied my oldest daughter, Paysen Jule, and her 2nd grade class. We made the trip to Pinter's Pumpkin Patch. If you talked to me in person that week, I'm certain I exclaimed to you that I have a newfound appreciation for all educators. Let's just say she has a "challenging" class. There were so many personalities that my brain was unable to juggle. Don't get me wrong, we had a very nice time, I just have to admit I was entirely mentally drained after one day with 23 students. I cannot imagine how tired I would be after a full week of school.
The second field trip wasn't quite as traumatic for this momma chaperone. My "baby," Ryggen Embrie, and the rest of her preschool classmates were much more eager-to-please their teacher on our trip to the Wetlands Center. I admired the patience the other teachers and chaperones exercised while doing such trivial tasks like wrangling kiddos into a line, finding a spot to sit for lunch, and encouraging the littles to listen to the tour guide.
Thank you, teachers, for empowering our students with the knowledge and skills to build their confidence and work towards their dreams.
