Our friend, Nate Borreson, was tragically killed at his home on March 24, 2022.
I would describe Nate as an All-American, true small-town, family man. I personally had the pleasure of spending time with Nate and his good-natured wife, Ashley, and their kind young boys on Jeep rides around our Iowa/Minnesota countryside.
Nate's friends describe him as goofy, bright-spirited, and talented. Every man in the tri-state area yearned to have a bumper for their truck that came out of Nate's shop, Ironhide Fabrication. Nate had more friends than I could imagine, and he was generous in donating much of his time and effort to anything his friends needed.
Ashley, his high school sweetheart, had her world turned upside down with her husband and father of their sons tragically passing away. She recently wrote, "My rock. My soulmate. My best friend. Your look with your beautiful blue eyes and your charming smile made all of my bad days turn good!! We had so much fun together! I promise I will keep the fun going with all of our boys. The house boat, fishing, hunting, I promise!"
My heart breaks to have such a genuinely kind friend endure so much pain. I had to do something to try to help.
To honor the wonderful man Nate was, and to keep his memory alive throughout our incredible community, Kelly Printing & Signs and I teamed up to create these hoodies. We are selling hoodies and stickers/decals as a memorial / fundraiser to assist Nate's family. All profits will be donated to Nate's wife, Ashley, and their children.
Last week, Ashley, Wyatt, Brayden, Nate's parents, and his siblings allowed me and hundreds of others to share in their grief to say a final goodbye to Nate. At his burial, as "Give Heaven Some Hell" poured out of the speaker underneath the bleak sky as so we said goodbyes, I couldn't help but think of all of my other friends and family members that were undoubtedly meeting Nate to welcome him at the pearly gates...
"I believe 'em when they say you're in a better place,
You had a wild side but you had amazing grace,
I know you're way off up in them clouds..."
If you'd like to purchase a sweatshirt[s] in support of Ashley, Brayden, Wyatt, & Baby Borreson, or make a financial donation, please do so here.
We will be closing the online store for Nate's fundraiser on what would have been his 29th birthday, Monday, April 11th, 2022.
The logo on the backside of the sweatshirt is the business that Nate started in 2018, Iron Hide Fabrication. We are honored that Ashley has given us permission to print his logo one more time.
Thank you for keeping the entire Borreson family in your thoughts and prayers.
