Just like Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors

Just like Dolly Parton’s coat, this Jana Color Block Patchwork Pullover of many colors you can wear just as proud.

I am wearing the small in this sweatshirt, and I wore my true size. It is a boxy fit that allows you to wear it tucked into your jeans or leave it out and wear it as is. I also show below how you can wear this pullover with a dress. The ties on this pullover can be tied together or left untied, which accentuates the small v-neck of the top. I wore it both ways, so let’s see how it looks!

In this first look, I wanted to show how to dress this pullover up. I pulled out a satin slip dress that I had purchased a few years ago and put a thin belt around the highest part of my waist. Then I put the pullover sweatshirt on and simply tucked the hem of the pullover up into my belt. I adjusted it to my liking, and that was it. For this look, I wanted to add some dainty details to the outfit, so I tied the strings into a bow. I paired these rich-colored Ariat Jolene Snip Toe Ankle Boots with this look. I loved how these boots complimented the colors of this pullover perfectly. The v-cut on the ankles of the boots helped finish this look off. Pair it with some simple earrings and walk out the door!

Jeans and a pullover, who doesn’t love that combo? I loved the effortless look of this outfit. I let the pullover be the statement piece once again but left the strings of this sweatshirt untied for more of a relaxed feel. I added a pair of simple, non-distressed dark wash flare jeans. I loved how these looked together because the simplicity of the jeans didn’t take away from the pullover at all; it only enhanced the look. For shoes, I chose the same Ariat boots, and they looked just as great as before, even under my flares. I chose to add some more color to this look by layering this Hobo-style fringe bag across my chest. I kept my jewelry simple again, as the bag added enough of a statement. This outfit really is very simple to create and is very versatile.

For the last look, I paired this top with a pair of our Ainsley Mid-Rise Distressed Denim Shorts. Shorts and sweatshirts can be a great option almost all summer long because whether you are walking into a very air-conditioned building or outside when the temperature drops, it will help to keep you warm enough without being too hot. To add an accessory, this time, I added a tooled leather belt and a fun belt buckle I had purchased from a thrift store two summers ago. I loved the little turquoise accent; even though it doesn’t technically match, it doesn’t take away from it, either. And speaking of tooled leather, these sandals were the perfect shoe. The tooling on the Myra Paislee Tooled Sandal added dimension to the look, keeping it cohesive from head to toe.

P.S. These shorts are the perfect length for summer. The hem on the legs is also great, as it helps to keep these shorts from rolling up. I will be wearing them on repeat this summer!
