4 Plus Ways To Wear The Over-the-Knee Lexingtons

If so, these Lane Lexington Over the Knee Boots are just for you. Not so sure about over-the-knee boots? This boot style is perfect for the Fall and Winter months, as they can be worn with your skinny jeans, oversized sweater dresses, and skirts. I mean, what better way to keep your legs warm while still looking cute?

Western-style boots are still a hot trend for the rest of 2023, but even if they aren't, people like you and I are still going to wear them anyway. The rich red color of these boots brings warmth to any outfit and would pair perfectly with all your upcoming events, whether it's a Friday night football game, family pictures, or a trip to the pumpkin patch.  

Just so we don't get too ahead of ourselves, let's think about our next few weeks. While it's still warm out, a great way to pair these boots is with your shorts. I chose a super casual look with a boxy-fit graphic tee, a pair of fitted biker shorts, and then the boots. Denim shorts would look just as cute. I added accessories of a cowhide-style hobo bag and a cowboy hat to compliment the boots. This look feels put together but yet still very comfortable.

Another great summer look is with your flowy summer dresses. A short hemline dress is ideal with these boots as it makes the boots your focal point. I kept things pretty simple by adding some color with the turquoise squash blossom necklace and then texture with a fringe purse. This is a great day-to-night look. 

Now for the cooler temps. These boots will be perfect with all colors of your skinny jeans. Your jeans should be able to slide right down into the boots due to the adjustable lacing on the back of the boots. Add your top of choice, and you are ready! This kind of look can be dressed up with accessories or kept classic, with the boots being the star of the show. 

For a fun and flirty look, pair it with a feminine-looking skirt. The top portions of the boot will be covered up with a longer-style skirt or dress, but that is okay. Tall boots can still be worn with your maxi skirts and dresses! They are actually great to wear with these in the cooler months as they add warmth to your outfit. Throw on a jacket overtop for some dimension and accessories of your choice.

For reference, I am 5'2" and feel like these boots were comfortable and still flattering on my body type.
