Bailey was a thick-hipped chestnut Quarter Horse mare we had growing up. Her lope was like a rocking chair; she could do it in time with Silks' [our thoroughbred cross gelding] walk. This smooth, rich wild rag is smooth like her slow lope and as rich as her color was.
